Cottonshrinks when washed at too high a temperature and is easy to iron.
Linen can be washed by hand in lukewarm or cold water, without spinning and ironing with a very hot iron.
Silk It cannot withstand hot water or ironing. Stain removal must be done by dry cleaning.
Wool can shrink when washed if the temperature is too high and become deformed if it is not dried flat.
Artificial fibers such as acetate, rayon or viscose do not wring out.
Synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon or lycra are very sensitive to heat, wash in lukewarm water and iron with a gentle iron.
Washing
Check your clothing pockets and don't overfill your machine.
Use an ecological detergent that respects your health and your environment. Do not overdose, the wash will not be more effective.
For new clothes that may bleed: wash by hand first. Wash the item of clothing in cold water with well-dissolved detergent without letting it soak. Do not rub, wring gently.
All viscose/acetate materials must always be washed by hand. In addition, the fabric shrinks on contact with water and will return to its original shape only after being ironed.
Drying
Prefer air drying.
Do not dry brightly colored clothes in the sun.
Dry knitted clothing flat. When folded, the clothes will not be deformed.
Ironing
Iron your clothes at the temperature indicated on the labels, starting with the lowest temperature.
